I sit and talk
We count down the moments
Count down the memories..
She was 17 but a moment ago
A child still..
My 'special' girl
She turned 18 today
And I cant help but smile sadly
Another year has passed today
Those tender moments I cherish
She's gonna leave me someday..
Another moment passes
She giggles into the phone
I smile because shes happy
I whisper my best to her
A silent heartbeat
I can almost hear her smile
I know my wishes are special
Something she'll keep tucked away
